VibeJibe and the VibeJibe Chrome extension. Last updated October 8, 2026.
What VibeJibe is
VibeJibe is one account that remembers who you are and what you have said to AI assistants, so that each assistant you use can work from the same information.
VibeJibe is a product of ChocolateLabs. ChocolateLabs is David Chu and Jack Widman.
What the extension reads
The extension reads conversations only on these sites: chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, grok.com and the Grok page on x.com. On those sites it reads:
- the text of each message you send,
- the text of each reply from the AI,
- the conversation's identifier from the page address, and which site it is.
It sends these to app.vibejibe.me over HTTPS, where they are stored in your VibeJibe account. It does not read any other site, your browsing history, or anything you type elsewhere.
The extension also runs on VibeJibe's own pages under app.vibejibe.me/extension/. There it receives the sign-in token for your account when you connect, and removes itself from the browser when you choose Start from scratch.
What the extension writes
- On ChatGPT, it writes a short description of you into ChatGPT's custom instructions. It only fills fields that are empty or that VibeJibe wrote before. To do this it uses your ChatGPT session inside the ChatGPT page. That session is never sent to VibeJibe.
- On Claude, Gemini and Grok, it adds the same short description to the first message of a new chat. On Claude this is skipped if you have connected VibeJibe to Claude directly.
- In your browser, it stores a sign-in token for your VibeJibe account.
The description contains your name, what you have told VibeJibe about yourself, your most recent memories and your most recent messages. You can turn this off in the extension's menu.
What your account stores
- Your name, email address and password. The password is stored as a bcrypt hash.
- What you have told VibeJibe about yourself, and the memories it keeps.
- The log of your conversations: those in the VibeJibe window, those captured by the extension, and those sent by apps you connect.
- A record of each AI model call made for you, with its estimated cost.
- A record of when your account was used and through what: the window, the extension, a connected app or the Claude Code hook. It holds times and counts, never the content.
- If you subscribe: your Stripe customer number, and whether your subscription is active and until when. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach VibeJibe.
How it is used
Your information is used for one purpose: to give the AI assistants you use the context about you, and to answer you in the VibeJibe window. Once a night, an automated process reads your new conversation log and saves the lasting facts as memories.
Who receives it
- AI model providers. When you talk in the VibeJibe window, your message and your context are sent to the provider of the model that answers: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI. The nightly memory process uses Anthropic. Memories are sent to OpenAI to make them searchable by meaning.
- The AI sites you use. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok receive the short description described above.
- Apps you connect. An app you connect to your account, such as Claude, can read and add to your VibeJibe after you click Allow.
- Payments. If you subscribe, Stripe takes the payment and receives your name, email address and card details.
- Google Analytics. The website vibejibe.me and the sign-in, sign-up, setup and privacy pages of app.vibejibe.me use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages lead to sign-ups. Google receives the address of the page, your approximate location taken from your IP address, and your browser and device type, and it sets cookies. In Europe this starts only if you click Allow. It never runs in the VibeJibe window or in the extension, and your conversations, memories and account details are never sent to it.
- Hosting. The service runs on Amazon Web Services in Sweden.
Your information is not sold, is not used for advertising, and is not shared with anyone else.
The use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Text messages, phone calls and email
Your VibeJibe can send a text message, place a phone call that reads a message aloud, or send an email, only when you ask it to. Every message is one you requested, in the VibeJibe window or as a reminder you set for yourself. VibeJibe does not send marketing messages and does not send messages on its own.
- To you. Messages to you go to the phone number you enter on your account page and to your account email. You consent to receiving them by entering your number and asking for them. Remove the number from your account page to stop them.
- To people you choose. Before a message goes to anyone else, VibeJibe shows you the exact text and the recipient and sends it only after you say yes. The message says who it is from. A recipient can reply STOP to any text to receive no further texts from VibeJibe.
- Replies. A text or spoken reply sent back to VibeJibe's number is stored in your account so your assistant can tell you about it.
Texts and calls are carried by Twilio, which receives the phone number and the message. Email is sent through an email provider, which receives the address and the message. Message and data rates may apply.
Deleting your information
On your account page, Start from scratch erases everything VibeJibe knows about you. The same control can delete your account. Both take effect at once on the live service. Nightly backups of the service are kept, and erased information remains in earlier backups until those backups are deleted.
Removing the extension from your browser stops all reading and writing by the extension.
